Since 2016, CEO of illycaffè, the leading company in the high quality coffee segment, Massimiliano Pogliani has twenty years of experience in the marketing, commercial and retail areas in companies of well-known premium & luxury brands. Among these, Saeco International Group, where he held the role of global marketing manager, and Nestlé Nespresso, as head of international retail & customer management. In 2012, in England, he joined Vertu, a leading company in luxury mobile telephony, holding the role of chief marketing officer and, later, CEO.

My most memorable projects? Conducting research in the mid-1990s on how terrorist and other insurgent groups were harnessing information-age technologies to operate as nimble networks. Over the years, I've written a number of pieces on strategy and organization for the McKinsey Quarterly. My writing and research have been featured in the Harvard Business Review, the Financial Times, and Fortune.
